01. Discovery
Your First Experience with Wing Foiling
Private lesson — US$75 / hour
Never tried wing foiling before?
Start with a Discovery Lesson and get your first taste of this exciting sport. Your instructor will introduce you to the wing, board and foil, explain the basics of wind and safety, and guide you through your first steps on the water.
The focus is on having fun while understanding the fundamentals of wing foiling.
Recommended duration: 1–2 hours

From Your First Water Start to Independent Riding

Ready to properly learn wing foiling? Our Beginner & Independent program takes you through the essential skills step by step — from controlling the wing and balancing on the board to riding on the foil and becoming more independent on the water. The program is flexible. Your instructor will adapt each lesson according to your progression rather than forcing you through a fixed schedule.
Stage 1 — Wing & Board Control
You will learn:
- Wind awareness and safety
- Wing control
- Correct wing positioning
- Board handling
- Balance and stance
- Water starts
- Riding across the wind
- Controlling your speed and direction
Stage 2 — Your First Foil Flights
Once you are comfortable riding the board, we start working on the foil. You will learn:
- Generating speed for take-off
- Understanding foil lift
- Basic pumping
- Getting onto the foil
- Controlling foil height
- Maintaining a stable flight
- Safe falling and recovery
Stage 3 — Becoming Independent
As your confidence grows, we work on:
- Riding upwind

Wing Foil Rental
Already know how to wing foil and just need the gear? Vietnam Kiteboarding School now offers wing foil rental at our beach location in Mui Ne. Rent a complete, well maintained wing foil set and get out on the water the same day — every set is checked and prepared by our team before your session.
All rentals require only a 10% deposit to book, pay the rest on arrival.
Wing foiling has a real learning curve. If this is your first time on a foil, we strongly recommend starting with a Wing Foil Lesson before renting equipment on your own — our instructors will check your level and get you set up safely on the right size wing and foil for the conditions. Renters need to be already comfortable riding a foilboard and flying a wing before we hand out gear independently.
